Eyvind Brynildsen plans to host the racesERC. The 30-year-old Norwegian who evolved into WRC 2 within the Adapta World Rally Team, Mads Ostberg's team, will compete in several rounds of the 2018 season at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R5 prepared by Autotek Motorsport.
The Scandinavian now co-driven by Anders Fredriksson will notably be at the start of the Rally of the Canary Islands (May 3-5) as well as the two following events, with the Acropolis (June 1-3) and Cyprus (June 15-17). He is also considering competing in the next round with the Rally di Roma Capitale (July 21-22).
“The ERC is really what suits me best at the moment, comments Eyvind Brynildsen. It’s a Championship that has some of the best rallies of the year and I can’t wait to try it after having made almost 50 WRC starts. Perhaps I am no longer young and promising, only promising! I've done a few rallies in my career and I'm used to driving the family truck. So I have a good memory of the roads. I like the challenge of facing new challenges. It motivates me to prepare better than anyone. »
Eyvind Brynildsen had planned to take part in last week's Azores Rally, but had to cancel his participation following the birth of his third child.
