Bryan Bouffier (Ford) took the lead of Rally di Roma after the last special of the first stage, taking advantage of Alexey Lukyanuk (Ford) going off the road. The previous leader had an eight-second lead when he tore a wheel off his Fiesta R5, forcing the event organizers to permanently stop the special.
Slowed down by a Ford which lacked night lights, Kajetan Kajetanowicz gave up almost nine seconds to Bryan Bouffier who had a seven second lead over the Pole at the end of the first day.
Bruno Magalhaes (Peugeot ) climbs onto the provisional podium, nearly half a minute behind the leader. The Portuguese lost time in the first special of the day following a spin. Stéphane (Ford) and Robert Consani (Peugeot) are in the top ten.
The second stage of Rally di Roma will feature six more stages.
