ERC – Chardonnet takes part in Rally Estonia

Sébastien Chardonnet will be there at the Rally of Estonia played next week as part of theERC. The Frenchman signed up at the last minute with his Citroën DS3 R5 with which he competed in two rallies as part of the WRC2, notably taking second place in the category at the Sardinia Rally. If the French driver will make his first start in this event on gravel, his task will not be made easier in the face of competition since he will have to face the Skodas of Esapekka Lappi and Sepp Wiegand, the Fiesta R5 ofOtt Tänak, Peugeot 208 T16 R5 of Karl Kruuda and Siim Plangi, the Fiesta of Martin Kangur… In total, 65 crews are expected at the start.

“It’s a real pleasure to go to Estonia with the DS3 R5 and gain experience to improve my confidence”, comments Sébastien Chardonnet. “My goal is to progress on each stage and prepare for Rally Finland which will be the next round of WRC2 (August 1 to 3). A real rally is always preferable to a practice session. I can't wait to discover the Estonian roads in the ERC. »
