ERC – Craig Breen snatches victory in Ireland

Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) imposes itself on its lands at Circuit of Ireland Rally at the end of an event rich in suspense. The Irishman remained in battle with Robert Barrable (Ford Fiesta R5) before the latter retired after going off the road in SS16, victim of pressure from the Sochaux car chasing him.

The Peugeot driver seemed to have victory in his pocket but he almost lost everything when he spun in the penultimate special, damaging the front of his 208 T16 R5. His mistake allowed Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Fiesta R5) to come back to just 5 seconds from the lead of the race, but the Pole finally lost on the finish line 6 seconds behind. the latter loses the lead in the Championship by 4 points against the winner of the weekend.

Josh Moffett (Fiesta RRC) completes the podium ahead of Sam Moffett (Fiesta RRC). Charles Martin (208 T16 R5) got a good result with a top five.
