ERC – Craig Breen faces Barrable in Ireland

At the end of the first stage of the Circuit of Ireland Rally, the local drivers are in the spotlight on roads that were all wet from the showers that fell the day before. Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16) is in the lead with only one second ahead of Robert Barrable (Ford Fiesta R5) after 8 special stages.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Fiesta R5), the Championship leader, completes the provisional podium almost 17 seconds from the head of the race, in the middle of the Irish. The top five is completed by the Fiesta S2000s of Josh and Sam Moffett.

Charles Martin (208 T16) continues his learning by moving into the top ten, just over a minute behind the leader. Robert Consani (DS3 R5) was racing at the best pace before retiring following a gearbox problem. The Frenchman lost the first two gears in SS4 while he was in 3rd position.
