ERC – The Peugeot Rally Academy with Breen, Abbring and Lefebvre

After launching the Peugeot Rally Academy last year, the Sochaux manufacturer unveiled the program for this season where the 208 T16 will make its debut. Craig Breen, co-driven this year by Scott Martin, will compete in a season similar to the previous one with an entry in eight events of theERC. If his first participation, in Rally Liepāja in Latvia (January 31 to February 2), will be carried out on a 207 S2000, the 2012 champion of the S-WRC will then evolve on the 208 T16 whose development has lagged behind.

Kevin Abbring will take the place of Jérémi Ancian to drive a second 208 T16, starting with the Acropolis Rally (March 28 to 30), for a program of six events. Stéphane Lefebvre will continue to complete the squad with an entry in four rounds at the wheel of the 208 R2 on which he already competed last year.

“On paper we have serious assets, both with its three top crews and with these cars to play the leading roles”, comments Bruno Famin, director of Peugeot Sport. “However, as we have seen in the past, the level of the European Championship organized by Eurosport Events is very high. The drivers but also the cars with the very strong competition in anticipation from the R5 side. In addition to the Peugeot Rally Academy which will have to win the 208, T16 or the R2, we will continue to follow and support our customers, who are still numerous in this championship and who will have the same technical information as the Peugeot Rally Academy. A very good season is coming. »
