Undisputed leaders from the start why Rally of Fafe, scene of the first round of the 2022 season of theERC, the Nil Solans-Marc Martí pair is heading straight for final victory.
Leading at the end of Saturday with a 1'44 lead over the Linnamäe-Morgan duo, the two Spaniards took no risks during the first loop on Sunday. Not wanting to lose their chances of victory, Nil Solans and Marc Martí went slowly and let a few seconds escape before tackling the 2e part of the day.
Although they did not win any of the 4 stages contested (3 for Llarena and 1 for Linnamäe), the men in the No. 5 Volkswagen Polo GTI R4 returned to the service park with a margin of 1'31 over Georg Linnamäe and James Morgan despite damage to the front of the car.

« I may have gone a little too hard in some places but there's no drama », wanted to reassure Nil Solans before setting off again to attack the 2e loop.
Four stages still have to be contested this Sunday afternoon. With a good lead, Nil Solans and Marc Martí should play the insurance card in order to become the first winners of the 2022 season
