Hänninen: “The championship is not my goal”

Winner of Rally of the Canaries, second round of the IRC, Juho Hänninen is now leading the championship. However, the Finn, who is not participating in the entire season, will have difficulty maintaining his leadership, especially since Bryan Bouffier is only two points behind.

?It?s positive to be at the top of the championship, because it?s not my main goal this season, but we?ll see what the future holds for us, underlines the Skoda driver. There are still a lot of cool rallies coming up and I would love to be in Corsica, but it's quite close to Sardinia where I'm doing another rally. »

Even though he scored his first victory on asphalt in the Canaries, Juho Hänninen explains that he still has a lot to learn on this surface. A personal challenge for the Finn. “I still have a few things to learn with the lines and the way I handle the tires, I'm a little too aggressive. I am improving step by step » he concluded.
