IRC – Arzeno and Breen conquer Corsica

The island of beauty is a land of success for Peugeot . Whether with the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, the 206 WRC, or more recently with the 207 S2000 of Thierry Neuville, the lion brand has always stood out on Corsican roads. After his fourth place in Ireland, Mathieu Arzeno will once again aim for the forefront, especially since he will be playing on more favorable terrain given his experience.

“We will be riding on more familiar roads and I am starting to have a little more experience with the Peugeot 207 S2000 and the Pirelli tires, explains the Frenchman. We will adapt the set-up well to the conditions we will encounter at the end of the week. The plateau is of a very high level. You have to keep your feet on the ground, but I want to do something good. Finishing in the top 5 would be another great result! The first stages are important to know where to position ourselves. »

At his side, Arzeno will once again have a strong teammate. Craig Breen, the current leader of the SWRC. Author of impressive times for his first time on a Peugeot, the Irishman still hopes to perfect his understanding of his vehicle. “It is always necessary to go through a learning phase when discovering a new car and a new environment, however, emphasizes the latter. In Corsica, I will discover a new route. The board is very impressive. I will do my best to continue to gain experience with the objective of finishing in the best possible place. »
