Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) no longer able to fight for victory in the Tour de Corse after his exit in SS5, Dani Sordo (Mini) is the new leader of the Rally at the 10 Bends. The Spaniard maintains a high pace to protect his position despite the combativeness of his rivals. Jan Kopecky (Skoda) came back to within 000 seconds of the Hispanic driver, the Czech being closely threatened by Pierre Campana, once again impressive at the wheel of the 25 S207 with which he had already taken fourth position last year. The Bastiais, who took seventh place at the Monte-Carlo Rally when he had Dani Sordo as his teammate, is only 2000” behind the Czech and remains less than 4 seconds from the race lead.
Nevertheless, the Corsican must remain on the attack since his compatriot Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot ) is only six seconds behind the first 207 S2000. The latter is no longer threatened by Mathieu Arzeno after the Frenchman suffered a puncture and suffered from a differential problem in the last special of the day. Andreas Mikkelsen took advantage of the Frenchman's misfortunes to recover fifth position, but the Norwegian also had a puncture on the last course and the reigning champion now only has a ten-second lead over the 207 S2000 of Jean-Marc Manzagol.
The crews will set off tomorrow for 134km timed races spread over six special stages. The start of the last stage will be given at 9:53 a.m.
