IRC – Big hopes for Bouffier at the Tour de Corse

If drivers of the caliber of Dani Sordo (Mini) or Pierre Campana (207 S2000) will be added to the list of Skoda drivers at the Tour de Corse, Bryan Bouffier will also be there. The Frenchman has ambitious goals after falling down the rankings last year following a puncture. “I intend to lead this rally, It's my aim. I discovered this rally last year and the special stages are fantastic. I have a good car developed by Delta. It won't be easy with the level of the field but I will do my best. Each event is important but Corsica is perhaps more important than the others because a victory at home would be very satisfying. »

However, the pilot Peugeot knows that the course will be difficult and that the greatest caution will be required. His task will be all the more complicated as he has not driven in the IRC since the Azores Rally. “I had a good performance at Lyon-Charbonnières (fifth place) and so I got back behind the wheel a short time ago”, specifies Bryan Bouffier. “But this rally is difficult because there are big differences between fast stages and winding, bumpy courses. This can make the set-up difficult to adjust but with Peugeot we have a good base from last year. It's simply a matter of finding the most effective settings for the conditions. You have to be careful and not cut in the turns because it is easy to get a puncture. You have to stay focused, remembering that it is a long test. »
