Kopecky masters his subject at Barum Rally Zlin

Jan Kopecky (Skoda) did not force himself to win at Barum Rally Zlin, the Czech excelling on his national event by winning with a 1'31 lead over his closest rivals.

The fight for the podium offered an intense duel between Filip Mares (Skoda) who took second place for 3 tenths ahead of Chris Ingram (Skoda). The Briton is still doing well in the championship after the setbacks of his rivals.

Alexey Lukyanuk (Citroën) failed about twelve minutes from the lead of the race, notably suffering a puncture in the last special. Lukasz Habaj retired in the first stage when he crashed his Fabia R5 into a tree.

Chris Ingram should take the lead in the championship by one point over Alexey Lukyanuk, while Lukasz Habaj would find himself ten points behind.

Barum Rally Zlin also trapped Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda) who went off the road on SS11.
