Mikkelsen dominates Rally Scotland

Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) took the lead Rally of Scotland when he was in a fight with Guy Wilks (Peugeot ). But the Briton goes off the road in Errochty (SS5), losing several minutes and his hopes of victory in this event where the points coefficient is increased.

Thierry Neuville (Peugeot) then replaces the Briton as the leader's closest rival. The Belgian managed to keep up with the Norwegian?s pace until he made a mistake in the last special stage of the first stage (SS7). His 207 S2000 fell to fourth position, more than half a minute behind Juho Hänninen (Skoda).

After a difficult start, the Finn occupies third place in the Rally of Scotland and is only one second behind Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot). The Frenchman will have to resist the attacks of the Skoda driver, who managed to adopt a sustained pace.

The last stage of the day was canceled due to heavy rain and fog making conditions too difficult.
