New dates for Rally Liepaja and Poland

The schedule ofERC continues to evolve depending on the health situation regarding the coronavirus.

Eurosport Events, the organizer of the European Rally Championship, has confirmed new dates for the Rally Liepaja and the Polish Rally. The Latvian round will be organized from August 14-16 and will be the second round of the season after the Rally di Roma (July 24-26). The Polish event will, however, be postponed to 2021 for its 100th anniversary.

“We are delighted to have found a solution for Rally Liepaja and we thank everyone who made this possible, especially the FIA, commented Jean-Baptiste Ley, the coordinator of the ERC. We are unfortunately disappointed that the ERC will not be traveling to Poland this year, especially with all the work accomplished and for the warm welcome we have always received. »

“Our roadmap since the start of the Covid-19 crisis has been to maintain as many events as possible on the original calendar. This remains difficult with a constantly changing situation and the need to respect government restrictions”, recognized Jean-Baptiste Ley.

The FIA will still have to validate the change of dates for Rally Liepaja.
