Patrik Sandell IRC title contender

The runner-up in the S-WRC Championship is about to contest his first IRC event of the season. Fast on the asphalt, the Swede intends to mark his debut in the discipline by achieving a good performance in Corsica in order to get closer to the leaders.

The Skoda driver will compete in at least seven Championship events and will therefore be a serious contender for the title. After shining in S-WRC, Patrik Sandell therefore hopes to be Juho Hanninen's successor and will take advantage of his absence to highlight his qualities on the asphalt.

« I am full of confidence after my victory (in the S-WRC category) at Rally of France, even if this rally was completely different », Comments the Swede. “ The last two rallies in Germany and France were more about pure speed and courage. I have to find the right rhythm to achieve a good result on Saturday. »

Patrik Sandell expects a lot from this event since he will compete at least seven events allowing him to score points in the Championship. “ We may be able to do more depending on the results », Adds the Fabia S2000 driver. “ We are here to win the Championship. We will have to be quick to score points at each rally and hope to be first at the end of the season. »
