First laps in Valencia

Started this evening with a prologue, the Monte-Carlo Automobile Rally has already brought its share of events. Stéphane Sarrazin, tenth fastest this evening, will open the road tomorrow morning. Robert Kubica broke the engine of his Clio.

Contested "out of classification" to designate the starting order of the first stage, this prologue launched the first IRC event of the season.

Toni Gardemeister (Abarth) even seemed surprised by his first position: “The grip was actually quite good despite 40% of ice. I didn?t feel like I was fast. I didn't expect such a result. »

Just behind him, Nicolas Vouilloz (Skoda) set the second fastest time: “The first corner was very slippery. I decided not to take any risks. »

Further the Peugeot 207 Super 2000 Sébastien Ogier and Kris Meeke finished the special with a flat tire. Others used this prologue as a more traditional shakedown? waiting for tomorrow.
