Vouilloz with Skoda in Monte-Carlo

Skoda continues its involvement in the IRC and, for the first round of the next season, will enter three cars. The Skoda Fabias of Juho Hänninen and Jan Kopecky will be accompanied by a third car, reserved for Nicolas Vouilloz. Winner of the IRC 2008 with Peugeot , the Frenchman was still at the wheel of a Peugeot 207 Super 2000 prepared by Kronos Racing in 2009. Before thinking about the whole of the next season, the emphasis is therefore placed, at Skoda, on the Rally of Monte Carlo.

« The Monte Carlo Rally is an extremely difficult event and we consider it one of the most important races of the coming season », Confides Michal Hrabanek, boss of Skoda Motorsport. “ The 2009 edition of Monte-Carlo successfully launched our Fabia Super 2000 project, and then the whole of 2009 was crowned with success. It was a great source of motivation for the whole team to continue working hard in the future. »

Recently, Mikko Hirvonen was confirmed for the Monte-Carlo Rally as driver of the new Ford Fiesta Super 2000, which will make its competitive debut around the principality.
