Vouilloz will be ready for Monte-Carlo

Nicolas Vouilloz, who rode little in the IRC last year, started preparing for the Monte-Carlo Rally, the first event of the discipline next season, like the two previous years. The Frenchman, third in the event in 2010 behind Mikko Hirvonen and Juho Hänninen, feels ready to return to battle during the centenary edition of the Rally Monte Carlo at the wheel of the Skoda Fabia S2000.

“Even if I didn't ride much, I didn't sit idle either,” confides the former mountain biker, who will be co-driven by Benjamin Veillas in Monte-Carlo. I have been very busy collaborating with a French mountain bike brand. I did some races and did development work with them, I was even team manager. »

However, the Monte-Carlo Rally is a demanding event and Nicolas Vouilloz will need to be at his best to shine. “I know it will be difficult to get back behind the wheel of a rally car after such a long break, especially since there are very long stages at the start of the event. But I will have done three test sessions by then. I will be fit and as well prepared as possible. »
