Freddy Loix lost more than 50" following a puncture on the right front during the first special (SS2) on Friday Rally of the Azores. The first leader of the event at the end of the super special (SS1) is relegated to 14th position. The best time of SS2 was achieved by Hänninen's Skoda, ahead of the Peugeot Kronos de Meeke, who takes the lead with a 2/10th lead over the Finn. Vouilloz is 3rd at 1″4.
