The first stage of Sata Rally Azores, 6th round of the 2011 IRC, was dominated by Juho Hänninen (Skoda) who finished the short day with a lead of 4”3 over Bruno Magalhaès (Peugeot ) and 5”7 on Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda). Suffering the heavy handicap of opening the road, Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot) is only 8th, 36”3 behind the leader. The clean road he will benefit from tomorrow should help him move up the rankings.
