ALMS: Aston and BMW on pole at Mosport

The fourth round of the American Le Mans Series 2011 is being held this weekend at Mosport. In LMP1, pole position was taken by the Lola-Aston Martin of Cytosport Muscle Milk by Lucas Luhr and Klaus Graf. The latter completed a lap of the Canadian circuit in 1:08:679. He is ahead of the two Lola Dyson duos Chris Dyson-Guy Smith (1:09:044) and Steven Kane-Humail Al Masaood (1:09:078). As Level 5 Motorsports is absent, there will be no LMP2 present on the starting grid. The 4th fastest time is therefore to the credit of the best LMPC, the Oreca 09 FLM Intersport Racing of Kyle Marcelli and Chapman Ducote, with a time of 1:11:331.
La première ligne de la catégorie GT est à nouveau monopolisée par BMW, avec la M3 de Dirk Müller-Joey Hand (1?17??083), victorieuse des trois premières courses devant celle de Bill Auberlen-Dirk Werner. Les doubles tenants du titre Patrick Long et Jörg Bergmeister installent leur Porsche 997 GT3 RSR du Flying Lizard Motorsport au troisième rang, devant les Ferrari 458 ESM (Scott Sharp-Johannes van Overbeek) and Risi Competizione (Jaime Melo-Toni Vilander) and the first Corvette C6 ZR1, that of Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen.
Pole position in GTC for Tim Pappas and Damien Faulkner, who defend the colors of Black Swan Racing.
