David Brabham and Scott Sharp win the 2009 American title Le Mans Series, category P1, after their third place at Laguna Seca, last race of the season. Even if their biggest rivals, simon pagenaud and Gil de Ferran in the second Acura P1, won for the sixth time of the season, the crew of the Acura Patron Highcroft Racing scored the points necessary to secure the title. They succeed Lucas Luhr and Marco Werner.
