Gil de Ferran, driving the No. 02 Acura ARX-66a, once again set the best time on the Road America circuit during the second free practice session of the seventh round of the ALMS championship. The Brazilian was half a second ahead of the other Acura LMP1, that of Patron Highcroft Racing (David Brabham and Scott Sharp). The qualifying session begins immediately and delivers its verdict at 23 p.m.
