Paul Gentilozzi, winner of the 24 1994 Hours of Daytona, five times Transam champion between 1998 and 2006, behind the takeover of the ChampCar series between 2004 and 2008, announces that his team, Rocketsports Racing, will enter a Jaguar XKR GT2. Debuts are planned for this summer, at Lime Rock or Mid-Ohio before a full 2010 ALMS season. An initiative which receives technical and commercial support from Jaguar. The engine is the new V8-5 liter direct injection type AJ-133. A car that could be marketed and raced in Europe and Japan. Note that Gentliozzi was already part of the group which, around Bob Tullius, was at the basis of Jaguar's return to competition.
