The first qualifying round of the last event of the 2016 World RX in Rosario, Argentina was won by Norwegian Petter Solberg. The PSRX DS3 Supercar driver largely dominated the proceedings by comfortably setting the best time in 3'07"531, ahead of the new world champion Mattias Ekström (Audi S1 – EKSRX) and the Volkswagen Polo RX of VW RX Sweden from Johan Kristoffersson.
Less success for Peugeot 208 RX from Sébastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen, only 13th and 15th, but hampered by rain during their race.
