Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207 S2000), winner of the Rally Curitiba, but only fourth in the 2010 IRC drivers' standings, wants to take advantage of the Canary Islands Rally this weekend to come back to the Skoda drivers. The Northern Irish driver got off to a good start as he set the best time in the shakedown. In 1?27??7, the 2009 champion beat Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia S2000, 1?27??8), Juho Hänninen (Skoda Fabia S2000, 1?28??8) and Bruno Magalhaes (Peugeot 207 S2000, 1?28??8). Guy Wilks (Skoda Fabia S2000) and Thierry Neuville (Peugeot 207 S2000) tied for 6th time, in 1:30??0.
