SRO waited for the Castellet final to unveil the calendar for the 2022 season of the French Circuit Championship. The six events on the calendar this year will be offered again: Nogaro, Magny-Cours, Albi, Spa, Lédenon and Le Castellet will therefore host the FFSAGT, as well as the FFSA TC, from April to October. “ We had to take into account the GT4 Europe and Fanatec GT World Challenge calendars, as the teams run multiple programs », told us Laurent Gaudin, general manager of the championship. We can nevertheless expect change for 2023… “ This is surely the last year of the calendar, in this form. It will be recast and we are thinking about alternating for several dates. » Several avenues are already explored, such as Le Mans, Dijon and the Val de Vienne. While the return of the FFSA GT to Sarthe was not considered until this year, the Bugatti circuit is clearly in the SRO papers. “ We are on the waiting list, but the goal is to get back there. It turns out at the moment that there are common synergies. » The distribution of circuits should therefore be more equitable across the entire French territory in the future!
