Gil de Ferran, teammate of simon pagenaud in American Le Mans Series, announced, after taking pole at Mid-Ohio, that he was competing in his final season in the ALMS. At 41, the Brazilian thinks he was "competitive" at the wheel of the Acura ARX-02a but he wants to devote himself, from 2010, to the expansion of his team, Ferran Motorsport. He had already ended his racing career in 2003, before returning to the wheel of the ALMS after the creation of his team.
