For the Barum opening special Rally contested on Friday evening, the two Skoda Fabia S2000s of Juho Hanninen and Jan Kopecky set the best times. In 7 min 8.5 sec, Hanninen is ahead of his teammate by a second. Giandomenico Basso (Abarth Grande Punto) completes the top 3. Nicolas Vouilloz (Peugeot 207 S2000), the reigning champion, crossed the line with the 5th fastest time (+2.9 sec) just ahead of his teammate Freddy Loix (Peugeot 207 S2000). On the other hand, Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207 S2000), the leader of the general classification, only achieved the 33rd time, more than 30 seconds behind the first. Today, eight special stages are on the program.
