The first special of the second stage of the Barum Rally (Majak) already has its share of surprises in store. Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot ) went off the road while in fourth position while Jan Kopecky (Skoda), the leader of the event, lost time following a steering problem on his Skoda Fabia S2000.
Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) signs the scratch by completing the 22,69km of the course in 12, 26 ahead of Freddy Loix (Skoda). Juho Hänninen (Skoda) is third at 8??1, followed by Thierry Neuville (+4??5). Jan Kopecky finished at 11??5 ahead of Guy Wilks (+ 16??6).
Jan Kopecky now only has a 5?6 lead over Freddy Loix, who takes the lead over Juho Hänninen by only six tenths. Thierry Neuville took advantage of Bryan Bouffier's crash to climb to fourth place with a 13??7 lead over Andreas Mikkelsen.
