SS13: Mikkelsen takes the lead

As the rain falls on the Azores, Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) takes the lead of the rally finishing 1??7 behind Jan Kopecky (Skoda), author of the best time in the 20,8km of the Grahimhais special (15?45??0). “I couldn't see anything at all and I hit something at the back in the middle of the stage”, explains the new leader.

Juho Hänninen (Skoda) sets the third fastest time, four seconds behind his direct rival. “I missed a turn, I'm trying to attack but the visibility is terrible with this rain”, comments the Finn.

Bruno Magalhaes (Peugeot ) gave up his third place to Jan Kopecky, suffering from transmission problems on his 207 S2000. Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot) is fifth in the special with his opening position on the road.

Andreas Mikkelsen leads the Azores Rally 2” ahead of Juho Hänninen. Jan Kopecky is 7 seconds behind the Finn, while Bruno Magalhaes is 39”17 behind the Czech.
