Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) is doing his best to catch up with leader Juho Hänninen (Skoda). Despite the best time of the Norwegian, who covered the 2km of the Grupo Marques super special in 1?59??4, the Finn only conceded three tenths before joining the service which precedes the last two specials of the Rally of the Azores.
Patrik Sandell (Skoda) sets the third time (+2?3) ahead of Ricardo Moura (Mitsubishi) at 3?4 and the Fabia S2000 of Jan Kopecky (+3?6).
Juho Hänninen still has a 10??9 lead over Andreas Mikkelsen with two special stages remaining in the Portuguese event.
