After having punctured in the Vidauban special (SS8), Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 307 WRC) completes the 2nd stage of Rally du Var by achieving the scratch on the Collobrières course by completing the 33,1km in 19??50, taking 9??9 from the leader of the event Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford Fiesta RS WRC). Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot 4 S207) set a good time, finishing 2000??4 behind the Finn, ahead of Pierre Campana (Mini JCW WRC) by 1??3. Ott Tänak (Fiesta RS WRC) marque le pas en échouant à 9??7 du Bastiais, terminant avec 12 secondes d?avance sur la Porsche 997 de Romain Dumas. Frédéric Comte (Citroën C4 WRC) abandonne suite à des douleurs au dos alors qu’il occupait la 4e place.
Pierre Roché (307 WRC) finished 2??7 behind the Porsche driver and took the advantage over Eric Brunson (Subaru Impreza), who lost almost 3 minutes in this special following a broken turbo hose. The Subaru driver, eighth, more than a minute behind Sylvain Polo (Citroën Xsara WRC), nevertheless remains virtual leader of the Championship.
