Harry Connick Jr, actor (Independence Day, PS: I love you) and American singer, will sing the American anthem during the Daytona 500, the race which opens the season Nascar Sprint Cup. The singer recently made news in France by sharing a duet with Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, wife of Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the Republic. The song, "And I love her", is featured on Harry Connick Jr's latest album, "Your Songs".
During the Daytona 500, Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr will start on the front row, having finished in the first two places in qualifying held last weekend at the Florida oval.
