Q1 of the World RX in Höljes (Sweden) was particularly turbulent with several notable accidents. Andreas Bakkerud (Audi S1) emerged from the chaos to set the best time in the first qualifying round ahead of Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai i20). Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai i20) set the 3rd fastest time ahead of Kevin Hansen (Peugeot 208) and Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta). Cyril Raymond (Renault Clio R.S.) did well with the 10th fastest time. Wildcards Fabien and Jonathan Pailler (Peugeot 208) flank the Seat Ibiza of Timo Scheider in 15th place. Guerlain Chicherit (Renault Mégane R.S.) failed in 20th position after spinning at the finish while attempting to overtake.
