Höljes – Bakkerud emerges from chaos in Q1

Q1 of the World RX in Höljes (Sweden) was particularly turbulent with several notable accidents. Championship leader Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208) n’a pu signer que le 21e temps après plusieurs contacts avec Sebastian Eriksson (Ford Fiesta). Reinis Nitiss (Hyundai i20) a abandonné après être parti en tonneau au départ. Liam Doran (Audi S1) a également endommagé sa monture en finissant dans un mur en terre à l’arrivée.

 

 

Andreas Bakkerud (Audi S1) emerged from the chaos to set the best time in the first qualifying round ahead of Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai i20). Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai i20) set the 3rd fastest time ahead of Kevin Hansen (Peugeot 208) and Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta). Cyril Raymond (Renault Clio R.S.) did well with the 10th fastest time. Wildcards Fabien and Jonathan Pailler (Peugeot 208) flank the Seat Ibiza of Timo Scheider in 15th place. Guerlain Chicherit (Renault Mégane R.S.) failed in 20th position after spinning at the finish while attempting to overtake.

 

 

Q2 of the World RX in Höljes will start at 14:20 p.m. and will be followed with dedicated live streaming.
