After the quadruplet Peugeot from the day before, the French cars still monopolize the outposts this Friday, during the Rally Madeira wines. Indeed, eight Peugeot 207 S2000s appear in the top 10 of SS2. But it was Giandomenico Basso, on an Abarth Grande Punto S2000, who set the best time and took control of the Portuguese round of the IRC. He is six tenths ahead of Bruno Magalhaes, 2”3 over Alexandre Camacho and 3”8 over Nicolas Vouilloz.
