The first section of the shakedown Rally d?Ypres has already offered surprises. Jan Kopecky (Skoda) had an accident damaging the right front of his Fabia S2000 in the same place where Kris Meeke went off the road in 2009. The damage to the car will be assessed when the car is brought back to service.
His teammate Freddy Loix set the best time in the shakedown ahead of Bryan Bourffier (Peugeot ) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda). Peugeot drivers Thierry Neuville and Bruno Magalhaes set the 4th and 5th times respectively.
