Andreas Mikkelsen remains optimistic for the Rally of Sanremo contested this week, after narrowly winning the Mecsek Rally. The Norwegian knows that he will be less comfortable on the narrow roads of Italy but remains confident about his abilities against the other competitors.
“Sanremo is a great rally, it has a lot of history”, underlines the Skoda driver. “These events can sometimes be more difficult for me because the other competitors know them better than me, they have the routes in their memory. But this only makes the challenge more exciting for me and, as we saw at the Barum Rally, I can keep up with the experienced drivers. »
