Dominator of the day on Friday during the Rally Vinho de Madeira, Giandomenico Basso set the sixth time of SS14, the first special staged on Saturday. But he is only nine tenths behind Luca Rossetti, author of the best time. Six drivers finished SS14 in the same second: Luca Rossetti, Freddy Loix, Bruno Magalhaes, Kris Meeke, Nicolas Vouilloz and Giandomenico Basso. The latter remains in control of the rally with fifteen seconds ahead of Bruno Magalhaes and more than thirty seconds over Alexandre Camacho.
