After a mixed day yesterday with a ninth place in the provisional standings, Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo – PSRW VW Sweden) easily dominated Q4 at Trois-Rivières in Canada in World RX.
Winner of the last qualifying round ahead of Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208 – Team Peugeot Total) and Petter Solberg (Volkswagen Polo – PSRX VW Sweden), the world champion finished in the lead before the final stages, a small point ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 – Team Peugeot Total).
Suivent Solberg, Timmy Hansen, Mattias Ekström et Andreas Bakkerud (Audi S1 – EKS RX), Niclas Gronhölm (Hyundai i20 – GRX), Kevin Hansen (Peugeot 208 – Team Peugeot Total), Kevin Eriksson (Ford Fiesta – Olsbergs MSE), Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta – STARD), Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai i20 – GRX) et Robin Larsson (Ford Fiesta – Olsbergs MSE), tous qualifiés pour les demi-finales.
Disappointment for Guerlain Chicherit, who did not see the finish in Q4 after contact with the wall, and Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Renault Megane RS RX – GCK RX) and Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot 208 – Sébastien Loeb Racing), eliminated.
The final phases will begin at 21 p.m.
There is confirmation that @ JohanKMS88 is TQ, followed by @SebastienLoeb, @Petter_Solberg and @Timmy_Hansen. pic.twitter.com/baeqdOqDrY
