François Delecour's son enters the French championship

We left him last January. At the time, Mathys Delecour, then aged 15, was looking to launch his professional career by competing in the Dacia Sandero Cup in Romania.

« I would like to be able to learn my skills there and progress at the wheel of a car whose simplicity will force me to have very demanding driving skills... My dad has excellent memories of this country after his three coronations around ten years ago and pushes me to go and perfect my driving skills! » he wrote last January.

Four months after this message, it is towards the Rallycross that François Delecour's son decided to turn to, or at least temporarily. At the wheel of a Renault Clio V RX, Mathys Delecour will indeed participate in the rounds of Lohéac (September 3-4) and Mayenne (September 17-18) in the French Junior FFSA championship.

« In all honesty, I only knew Rallycross from afar but after this meeting with the LRT at the start of the year, the subject came up on the table, he explains to the official website of the French championship. And it's a real honor for me to do my very first official race behind the wheel in a place as legendary as Loheac. If all goes well we will then continue with Mayenne. I was able to follow the first round on live streaming and the level in the junior championship looks very high! I can't wait to find out all about it now.."
