Having reached the end of its list of substitutes in the prototype categories, the ACO was forced to draw from the reservists in the Grand Touring categories. It is therefore the Matech Compétition team which benefits from the unfortunate withdrawal of the two Pescarolo P01 LMP1s. The Swiss team will therefore present two Ford GTs on the starting grid for the next 24 Hours of Le Mans, to the delight of Martin Bartek.

“Thank you to the ACO for believing in our project, affirms the boss of Matech Compétition. With two cars, the challenge will be even more difficult. But we proved in the FIA GT1 world championship that we could achieve great things (the Ford GT of Romain Grosjean and Thomas Mutsch won at the end of the first round in Abu Dhabi, editor's note). The program is young, but we can win, last year we won the 24 Hours of Spa in the GT3 category. »
