The start of the 6 Hours of Le Castellet was confusing to say the least, with green lights on but a safety car remaining on the track. This incomprehension led to a pileup (of which you can see the video here) ending the race of various competitors.
1h30 after the start, the #16 Pescarolo of the trio Emmanuel Collard-Julien Jousse-Christophe Tinseau is in control of the event. The car from the Sarthe team is ahead of two Oreca 03-Nissans competing in LMP2, that of TDS Racing of Pierre Thiriet, Mathias Beche and Jody Firth, ahead of that of Boutsen Energy Racing.
Après le retrait des meilleures Porsche suite à l?accident du départ, Ferrari dominates the GTE Pro thanks to the 458 AF Corse of the Gianmaria Bruni-Giancarlo Fissichella duo, and the GTE Am thanks to the 430 CRS Racing shared by Hummel, Christodoulou and Quaife.
