Second and fourth in the LMP2 category at the finish of the 8 Hours of Le Castellet, the OAK Racing team made a good start in Le Mans Series 2010.

Of the two cars, it was the #35 that did the best, Guillaume Moreau and Richard Hein finishing not far from the victorious HPD.

“Starting from the back of the grid (due to an engine failure in free practice, editor's note), I took a few risks when overtaking and came back into contact with the P2 after only 2 or 3 laps, declares Moreau. Despite the puncture, Richard and I continued to attack to get back in front. I then did a very good triple stint, which is long at Le Castellet, I attacked as much as possible while managing the traffic. Although we started last, we were in the lead for a large part of the race but the Acura was too efficient today. This second place is a victory for the whole team. »

A satisfaction shared by his team-manager François Sicard:

?I would have really liked to have Jacques and Matthieu on the podium with Guillaume and Richard, but I am very satisfied with our performance today and the points scored. We announced that our technical package – team experience, Pescarolo chassis, Judd engine and Dunlop tires? was going to be competitive this year and we proved it today. »
