Unsurprisingly, the Peugeot 908 from the Oreca team set the best time in the first free practice session for the 1000 km of the Hungaroring in 1:35:853. Behind the Panis-Sarrazin trioStone, we find just two tenths behind the first LMP2, the HPD ARX-01c of Strakka Racing. It?s the Lola Rebellion of Cheers-Jani who completes the top three, ahead of the Ginetta Zytek LMP2 Quifel-ASM entrusted to Olivier Pla and Miguel Amaral.
The GT1 and GT2 categories were respectively dominated by the Saleen S7R from Larbre Compétition and the Ferrari F430 CRS de Tim Mullen et Andrew Kirkaldy. Cette dernière devance la Ferrari AF Corse de Alesi-Fisichella-Vilander. A noter que la Porsche des leaders Marc Lieb et Richard Lietz, les leaders du classement général provisoire en GT2 a connu plusieurs soucis durant ces essais.
