Forty-five minutes from the finish, Jean-Christophe Boullion handed over the wheel of the leading No. 16 Pescarolo to his teammate Christophe Tinseau. The French prototype still leads in front ofAston Martin official 007 of Stefan Mücke, while the 009 of Ramos Miguel, which spun and was finally forced to retire, gave up 3rd place to the Courage-Oreca n°10 of Stéphane Ortelli.
