Mark Martin, the veteran of the Nascar in the Sprint Cup Series, will be the third driver in history to exceed a thousand starts in Nascar, all series combined. The Hendrick Motorsport driver has made 745 starts in the Sprint Cup Series, 231 in the Nationwide Series and 23 in the Camping World Truck Series. This weekend, if he manages to qualify among the 43 cars authorized to compete in the Bristol race, Mark Martin will make his thousandth start in Nascar. At 50, the twelfth in the current Sprint Cup Series standings might want to celebrate on the track?
