Winner of the first three events of the 2017 World RX season, with a final success achieved last weekend at Hockenheim in Germany, Mattias Ekström could well seize the record for consecutive victories in the World RX Championship. Rallycross this weekend in Belgium, during the Mettet meeting.
The Swedish EKS RX driver, winner three times in a row last year between Hockenheim and Lydden Hill, co-holds this record with Norwegian Petter Solberg (PSRX VW Sweden), winner in the same sequence in 2014 between Trois-Rivières. Rivers in Canada and Estering in Germany.
An additional advantage in Mattias Ekström's game: his Audi S1 won last year on the Jules Tacheny track in Belgium.
