The No. 15 Audi R2 TDi performed the best in the first free practice session of the Petit ALMS event Le Mans. Allan McNish was the fastest, ahead of two Frenchmen: Stéphane Sarrazin (Peugeot 908 HDi FAP n°08) and simon pagenaud (Acura ARX-02a n°66). Followed by the Peugeot 908 n°07 (Pedro Lamy best time), the Audi R15 n°1 (Lucas Luhr), the Acura n°9 (David Brabham) and the Oreca n°7 (Nicolas lapierre).
In LMP2, it was Marino Franchitti?s Lola B09/86 which was the fastest and, in GT2, this first session was dominated by the two BMW E93 M3s (Bill Auberlen and Jörg Müller).
