Paul Menard, who is driving a Richard Petty Motorsports Ford this season, has just signed with Richard Childress Racing for next season. The team will return to four cars for 2011, after losing one of its main sponsors last year. “ Richard Childress showed this year that it was one of the best teams, having their three cars placed for the Chase.
The Richard Petty Motorsports starter is currently 23rd in the Sprint Cup Championship, and is therefore out of contention for the Chase this season. But he is still sixth in the Nationwide Series, which he is playing in its entirety.
